This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight against breast cancer.
During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to fundraise for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his employees both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the amount of cases is actually declining each year, that still leaves a huge number of families who are grappling with this disease, and there is still an immediate need for research and support.”
The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s feelings. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in our state – for both females and males.”
